COVID-19 Statement

1st March 2023 UPDATE - Following the ease of all restrictions in the UK, we will still follow a 5 day isolation policy for any of our team who test positive or have symptoms. We think this is best policy however, please refer to the following link to the NHS guidance which may still apply to you;

25th July 2022 UPDATE - We have now removed our screens from our main reception desk, however, hand sanitisers and paper towel dispensers remain in place also and our team continue to wear face coverings and sanitise their hands at every opportunity. If you are able to do so - please do try to maintain 'social distance' from fellow customers and our staff, sanitise your hands upon entry and wear a face covering if you can (we are not out of the 5th wave yet!).

8th April 2022 UPDATE - We have removed our screens from our 4 nail desks, however, the screen remains at the reception desks, hand sanitisers and paper towel dispensers remain in place also and our team continue to wear face coverings and sanitise their hands at every opportunity. If you are able to do so - please do try to maintain 'social distance' from fellow customers and our staff, sanitise your hands upon entry and wear a face covering if you can.

22nd Feb 2022 UPDATE "Self isolation advice for people with Coronavirus (Covid-19) has changed. It is now possible to end self isolation after 5 full days if you have 2 negative LFD tests taken on consecutive days. The first LFD test should be taken before the 5th day after your symptoms started (or the day the test was taken if you did not have symptoms). The self isolation period remains 10 full days for those without negative results from 2 LFD tests taken a day apart." (Gov.uk Feb 2022)

Sincerest thank you for everyone's continued help and support - from the Remedy Rooms Team!

Thank-fully, everyone was extremely supportive and respectful of the changes as were all those with appointments over the proceeding 2 weeks without any question or confrontation. A sad yet very proud moment for us here and we genuinely do appreciate all the massive ongoing support from our Clients.

Thank you again,

Remedy Rooms Team

10th July 2020 UPDATE - REGARDING ALL THE APPOINTMENT REQUESTS RECEIVED SO FAR FOR FACE WAXING OR LASHES ETC. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE WE MUST ADHERE TO......WE SINCERELY APOLOGISE FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE THESE SERVICES AT THE CURRENT TIME DESPITE IF WE AGREE WITH IT OR NOT.

"Updated COVID-19 secure guidance sets out the measures that those providing close contact services should follow to protect staff and customers. Only services that do not involve work in the highest risk zone – directly in front of the face – should be made available to clients. This means that treatments such as face waxing, eyelash, treatments, make-up application and facial treatments, should not be provided until government advice changes, due to the much greater risk of transmission."

Lets also salute the Royal Mail, Teachers, Police Force, Fire & Emergency Rescue Services and Coastguards, RNLI, delivery drivers and shop workers who continue to keep us all safe at their own risk. Lets repay their efforts by just Staying At Home!

24th March 2020, Hello Everybody,

Many thanks for using the 'staying in touch' facility, we are so glad you are using it. We have been inundated with questions regarding Gift Vouchers, Prepaid treatments and also Sunbed Tanning and Toning Packages, please rest assured we had already considered this and on the 21st March had posted the following;

- Don't worry, all PREPAID treatments and GIFT VOUCHER expiry dates have now been FROZEN so you can still look forward to enjoying them. (When you will no doubt appreciate them even more after all this!)

Please do take your time to read through this page in its entirety as we have tried to communicate all the actions we have taken so far and provide answers, please do stay calm despite the current developments.

The Remedy Rooms Team, X

Dear All,

22nd March 2020

- Acting responsibly and in line with Government Policy and Social Distancing, we are in the final stages of cleaning down and have started to pack our equipment away to close at 4pm today for an unknown length of time. Our existing Clients are more than welcome to PRIVATE MAIL us via this website should they have concerns and worries about removal of nailsets or lashes etc, or if you are just wanting to say hi to your favourite member of our Team we will remain at the end of a keyboard, we remain actively engaged on social media and you have certainly not been abandoned.

- We look forward to hearing your stories over the coming weeks over virtual contact which can be a good way to help MENTAL HEALTH (yours and ours!!) during these unprecedented times.

Our sincerest best wishes, love and hope to all, stay in touch!

The Remedy Rooms Team, X

(removed - email link to contact us)
Dear all,

21st March 2020 - We currently remain OPEN but with reduced services available. A discussion was held with the Team who all decided to continue keeping the Salon Open and support the Clients we have all worked so very hard to serve. However, with immediate effect, we apologise that we have to cease to provide Spa treatments, sadly this includes Facials and Massages.

- Don't worry, all PREPAID treatments and GIFT VOUCHER expiry dates have now been FROZEN so you can still look forward to enjoying them. (When you will no doubt appreciate them even more after all this!)

- At this time we are considering alteration to the hours we are remaining open and limiting the number of staff and customers within the building at any one time. These times will be announced shortly during preparations for our inevitable closure as an act of being responsible to the local Community and the whole UK effort to defeat the spread of disease.

- Our team have been issued with suitable PPE as masks and from today Face screens in addition to our extensive measures already being taken and all our ventilation and extraction systems will be left on continuously whilst we are on the premises.

- We will also NOT be offering our 'MOBILE' service at this time due to Social Distancing recommendations and a clearly higher risk of contamination during house to house visits where sanitisation techniques are simply not comparable to those within a controlled and fully equipped Salon Environment.

Thanks all for your support, our best wishes and positive hopes to everyone.

Thankyou, The Remedy Rooms Team.

Good evening everyone, thanks for all your support!

17th March 2020 - Can we please firstly say we are are so VERY PROUD of our entire Team who continue to be the highly efficient team you have all come to expect and also our Visitors for continuing their appointments which allow us as a small local business to (currently) remain fully OPEN AS USUAL.

Naturally, we continue to abide strictly to official advice, any member of our team who experiences minor signs or symptoms based on the NHS guidance is prepared to refrain from the workplace, self isolate, and we will Risk Assess the situation. We are now awaiting delivery of face screens to further help protect our Team, and the public who visit, and with our continued EXTRA precautions being taken we will remain OPEN until we are formally requested to Close.

For extra support in these times we are promoting the link below which may be of some help during these times;

Our Sincerest Thank You to all, our very best wishes to all, stay safe and most importantly stay calm and lets carry on!

The Remedy Rooms Team.

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in!

14th March 2020 - Given the unprecedented situation and media announcements regarding Coronavirus and the new COVID-19 illness we thought it best to provide an update on the EXTRA steps we are taking to keep Remedy Rooms clean and safe for our team and our visitors. IN OUR 19th YEAR - WE REMAIN STRONG, OPEN AS USUAL AND BUSINESS REMAINS UNAFFECTED.

We are naturally continuing to follow the latest official guidance from the government and health authorities and our own Health & Safety Consultant. The well being of our team and public is of the greatest importance to us and we will continue to ensure our policies and procedures reflect the best available information from those authorities.

We remain committed to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness as per our CURRENT procedures and existing cleaning schedules but have temporarily STRENGTHENED our detailed procedures in this area to minimise the spread of COVID-19. These include the use of a 'STRONGER' sanitiser in addition to continued use of Dettol and Barbicide :

- Upon first arrival, VISITORS are asked to please use the hand sanitiser spray near the entrance and use disposable paper towel to wipe excess off your hands and dispose of in the bin provided, further 'thorough' handwashing can then be made at our sinks using the soap and water as best primary practice.

- Sanitising tables and contact surfaces such as chair armrests, our touch screens etc after EVERY customer.

- Cleaning other contact points such as reception desk top, door handles and door edges, UV sunbed door handles and footplates, card reader, all taps, toilets and the stairs hand rail more regularly with disinfectants IN ADDITION to long standing cleaning routines.

- SUNBEDS; Due to the effects of temperatures regularly exceeding 60 deg C within the booths in conjunction with the UV sterilization power of our UV suntubes, all 4 of our Sunshowers are considered lower risk of harbouring minimal bacteria or virus on their working surfaces but will continue to be subject to our STRENGTHENED REGIME after every customer including floors and handles etc.

- Our team are aware of the elevated importance of thorough and frequent hand-washing and promote Catch-Kill-Bin. We all remain briefed and up to date with current Government and NHS advice, changes and developments as they happen. Any member of our team who experiences signs or symptoms based on the NHS guidance is prepared to not attend Remedy Rooms and self isolate as per the following NHS guidelines;

- We have also sourced 3 Hand-Sanitiser dispensers, sufficient sanitiser concentrate and 2 disposable towel dispensers with a stock of blue disposable paper rolls, are displaying HSE hand washing guidance posters at all toilets and kitchens on both floors, and are also displaying the current NHS building entrance poster (Guidance to Public).

Links to the information and guidance we are following can be found below;

Thanks all for your support, stay safe and most importantly stay calm and lets carry on!

Thankyou, The Remedy Rooms Team.

Hello Everyone, a further quick update

5th March 2020 - Whilst the UK risk level of Coronavirus has been increased from low to moderate, the risk to individuals has not changed at this stage and it remains low. We continue to follow advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England, as well as that of Local Government.

Precautionary measures are in place and we are monitoring the situation as it develops whilst Staff and visiting public are being actively encouraged to maintain good hand, respiratory and personal hygiene as per current public announcements and official advice. For us it currently remains BUSINESS AS USUAL.

Thankyou, The Remedy Rooms Team.

Hello Everyone, welcome to our ground-breaking NEWS!

10th February 2020 - in response to the China Virus outbreak the UK Government have just introduced brand new Legislation (The Health Protection (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020) to consider Coronavirus under the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 so it appears they are in control. No panic, lets just see what happens next over the coming weeks and have the confidence to 'carry on' regardless and its BUSINESS  AS USUAL.

In the meantime lets all stay sensible and stay calm.

Thankyou, The Remedy Rooms Team
